British Council - government site geared to international applicants.

Council for International Student Affairs - the body that looks after the needs of international students in the UK.  Helpful and informative.

Oxbridge Info. - a very useful site for those contemplating application to Oxford or Cambridge. 'Profiles' are particularly interesting.

Gap Year?  Year Out? - the best sites for exploring the options for a productive year out between school and college.  Includes some guidance on the pros and cons of taking a gap year.
